How can I get sponsored by Taylormade?

I am 14 years old and shoot high 70s low 80s

Now I know I'm not going to get sponsored any time soon but I just wanna know how so can if I ever get good enough so don't say I'm not good enough I just want to know the steps|||Companies sponsor golfers because they are high profile people. That means they get their faces on t.v. where millions will see them. It is advertising the company brand when a company sponsors a touring pro. The pros also have obligations to do company events, promos and/or commercials depending on the level of the endorsement.

If you want a sponsor, you may want to fill out a resume just as if you were applying for a job except that you will outline your golfing experience, your future plans and your ability to get recognized. Outline your plan for getting their company noticed. How you can get positive advertising for their business. Getting your name out there will be only part of the battle. Playing in as many organized/sanctioned events as you can will help.

Finally, Taylormade is a high profile company. Their advertising budget is rather large compared to a smaller company. They will usually target big name people to represent them. You may need to start small, get local support to get started. When you get to the big stage, your opportunities to endorse big companies will be there.|||Before you get a sponsor or any endorsement you have to accomplish something. This usually happens when a very great amateur player like Tiger Woods wants to turn professional after winning the US Amateur thrice and Nike offered him a contract he couldn't refuse. So enter the state Junior , state amateur, state open, all the USGA qualifiers, win or place high in the standings. Once you have achieved all the goals as an amateur you turn professional and if you have any accomplishments of note ( Anthony Kim ) the sponsors will contact you.|||When you get of age, you could become a teaching professional through the PGA. You can then get sponsored easily (assuming you can get a job), and you will receive a certain amount of free balls, and sometimes even clubs.

To be honest, at age 14 you need to post tournament scores under par regularly to even have a chance at being a professional who plays the game for a living. Keep practicing all day everyday and enter every junior tournament you can find ... Good luck.|||Typically, if you're playing on a tour (mini-tour or one of the larger tours), each company will have manufacturer's representatives at tournaments looking to sign guys on endorsement deals. At the mini-tour level, don't expect much. Maybe some free product initially, with additional compensation to come based on how your career progresses.

Taylormade's parent company is Adidas, FWIW.

Currently you're an amateur so they cannot approach you regarding compensation. In many cases, before they outlay dollars, they'd want to see your playing history (if you will, a resume of your amateur playing history...tournaments entered, record, etc.) and likely talk to your coach.

Failing that, your agent or business manager would handle these things for you (i.e. field the enquiry, and present you, as a player, with a deal).

You're more than a touch guilty of, shall we say, putting the cart in front of the horse. By that...if you're good enough, the endorsements will come (in other words, the equipment/apparel companies will find you).|||play the AJGA.

its at AJGA.org. its a international golf tournaments for junior golfers. i have 2 friends, one sponsored by ping, the other by taylormade.

they should 65 consistantly, if yur 14 and shooting that high, good luck, your gunna need it. im at the course 6 hours a dayb 7 days a week and im a 1 handicap.|||It works like this... They will find you, you don't find them.

Overall, as you win tournaments and get your name known, you'll be

approached by reps., from various companies. I first suggest you start an LLC before you sign anything.

In any case, when you become somebody, everybody whats you to pimp their products/name. But as long as you are a nobody, forget it.|||Step 1. Practice
